Parish Pastoral Council

Parish pastoral council consists of individuals that have accepted nominations and have been chosen by lottery to serve as members. Members can also be appointed by the pastor. The group’s main purpose is to advise the pastor on what is best for the greater good of the parish.

Liturgy Committee

Liturgy committee promotes the reverent active participation of the people in the Mass and other liturgies and prayer services in the parish throughout the year.

Parish Life Committee

Parish Life is a small committee that began more than 30 years ago. We meet every other month. We are responsible for the First Penance reception, Mothers’ Day Flowers, the Fathers’ Day ice cream social, the Remembrance Service, coffee socials, and other events throughout the year. Our goal is to bring St. Teresa’s parish family together in fellowship.

Parish Outreach Committee

Outreach is involved in social action programs which reflect the concern of Christ for the needy and oppressed. It is the visible expression of community service. The Mission of the Committee is to create an awareness of the needs of others, encouraging a desire to share and help, and working toward systemic change to gain human dignity for all within the community.

The Committee meets on the second Monday of the month (unless holidays require a change) at 6:30 p.m. in the St. John’s Room during the good weather months and the Rectory during the Winter. The Committee is open to all parishioners.

Building and Grounds

A committee of parishioners to help preserve the heritage and good up-keep of the St. Teresa facilities.

Choir

The parish choir typically sings at the 11 AM Mass from September through May, practicing at 9:45 AM. Currently open to women, the choir sings harmony in soprano and alto parts. The choir has developed a strong community within the parish and sings both traditional hymns and contemporary pieces.

Holy Name Society

A Catholic men’s organization for fellowship and service, devoted to the Holy Name of Jesus.

RCIA (for new Catholics – Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)

If you are looking to be baptized or confirmed as an adult, join our RCIA program. We meet on Sunday mornings from 9:45 to 10:45 AM. Grow in your faith in Jesus Christ as you learn about the Christian faith. For more information, contact the rectory at 822-0608 or see Deacon Bob.

Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, & Ushers

Parishioners who minister at Mass in reading the Word, distributing Holy Communion (upon the pastor’s recommendation), and ushering the congregation.

Altar Servers

Young people who have received First Communion may inquire about serving at the altar at Mass.

Youth Outreach

Periodically, we organize events for the youth of the parish, ages 12-18. Emphasizing the social, spiritual, and service dimensions of youth ministry, we seek to build a community of young disciples of Christ while having fun.
